Digital physics laboratory/ standard level

Designated use

Digital physics laboratory/basic level provides for experimental study of phenomena and laws of physics within main as well as specialized program of elementary school.

The laboratory is used for experiments using standard equipment offered by cabinet of physics of elementary school as well as vocational high schools.

The laboratory equipment should be used within temperature range from +10 to +35 c and relative humidity of up to 80 percent at +25 c.

Operations

  • Digital physics laboratory/basic includes a set of equipment and sensors used to compose installations for laboratory study of laws of mechanics, molecular physics, electricity, optics and nuclear physics.
  • Measurement of physical quantities is done by usb compatible digital sensors. A web camera built in a netbook may be used for recording video information.
  • The laboratory is supplied with direct electricity current from an usb port of a computer through a special connector with built in safety device.
  • The laboratory is supplied with alternative electricity current from an audio port of computer through a special connector with built in safety device.

Safety requirements

While working with digital physics laboratory/basic level the following safety measures must be strictly observed at all times:

  • General safety rules set for classrooms designated for studying corresponding subject matters must be adhered to at all times
  • Students are admitted to work with the laboratory only after familiarizing with its design and functions as well as these safety requirements
  • No touching of open optical surfaces is allowed when experimental installations are composed
  • Taking temperature measurements of the solutions heated above 60 c is strictly prohibited
  • Do not use the electric connectors provided to make electrical contours which are not described in the manual of supplied with this laboratory
  • Avoid water contamination of the sensors and notebook
  • Do not open casings of the equipment items and do not subject them to pressure and shock loads
