Designated use

This set includes four sequential assignments on geometrical and wave optics. It can also be used for research assignments. Registration of light rays’ paths, interference and diffraction patterns are registered with web camera attached to usb port of a computer (computer is not supplied).

The images from the web camera are processed with special program in order to obtain

• Distances between interference and diffraction lobes
• Refraction angle for light passing crossing border of two substances
• Charts showing relations between refraction angle and incidence angle as well as relations between the sinuses of these angles
• Index of refraction as a tangency of a chart
